Moosfluh

The artist Sabine Tholen has created the book MOOSFLUH as part of the exhibition Regarder le glacier s’en aller. In this work she deals with the change in the landscape after the retreat of the Aletsch Glacier. The photographs show the activity of the earth; they are witnesses to the fragility of the ground on which we live. But they are also an attempt to accept the disappearance of panoramas to which we have become accustomed. Accompanied by a literary text by author Matteo Terzaghi, the images attempt to convey a changed perception of the beauty of the landscape today.
