Namida is Japanese for ‘tear’. The 100 tears pictured in this book have been selected from those collected by Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger during their exhibition Power Sources at the Art Tower Mito in Japan. Each tear crystallizes into a unique image through the complex interplay of enigmatic forces that are at work within us. These mysterious forces are revealed in the startling beauty and impressive diversity of this collection of tears.
