Silvia Buonvicini’s first monograph was published two years after her exhibition “Veines” at the Musée Jenisch in Vevey, which was nominated as one of the best Swiss exhibitions of the year. The monograph was produced in conjunction with her exhibition “Scanner” at the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris in autumn 2011. The book documents the installation in Vevey, which had to yield to renovations soon afterwards, and reveals Buonvicini’s unusually diverse visual and installative output. The artist is also a musician, actress and dancer. In her complex and impulsive interpretation of the world, she daringly walks a narrow line that has become exceptional in a career oriented art market; her work is of an unmistakable and compelling consistency despite repeated variations and changes in direction. The book PK Permanente Krise testifies to this in a very personal way.
